Our upcoming Shop Day is Sunday, December 14! God's Closet is a community ministry to help support your children's needs! We just ask $1 for an entry fee. But the clothing items are FREE! We offer clothing sizes 0-18! We also have shoes and some bedding items! We ask that you support this ministry by sharing with others who may need these items! If you are looking for a place to donate your children's clothing...we accept NEW or LIKE new items, especially needing size 6 and up in both girl's and boy's clothing. We are now shopping on a first come first serve basis. No pre-registration Shopping times are as follows: 11-11:20; 11:30-11:50 12:10-12:30 12:40-1:00 1:15-1:35 How it works: First come; first served. Shoppers will be allowed in for shopping at the beginning of each time slot. We ask that each person is mindful of their shopping time...we recognize it is a short time, but we ask that you are mindful to PLEASE exit the shopping area when directed to do so. - Adventurer Registration
The Adventurer Club is designed to strengthen parent-child relationships for kids ages 4-9 by providing specialized weekly activities tuned into the psychological needs of this age group while simultaneously giving parents opportunities for learning parenting skills and enjoying special activities with their children. The Adventurer curriculum is divided into four levels. The Little Lamb level is designed for Pre-kindergarteners. The Eager Beaver level is designed for Kindergarteners. The Busy Bee level is designed for first-graders. The Sunbeam level for second-graders. The Builder for third-graders. The Helping Hand level for fourth-graders. Each level builds on the levels which came before it and is especially designed to interest, challenge, and provide. Each child is encouraged to participate in all activities and parents/guardians are given assignments along with their child. There are many age-challenging activities on the Adventurer menu. These range from games and outdoor activities to nature exploration and family camping, field trips and community service projects. A five level age-specific curriculum is used along with approximately 80 specialized award areas of crafts, nature, recreation, spiritual development and home arts. - Pathfinder Registration
Pathfinders are a worldwide organization of young people sponsored by the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Pathfinders is for those who are in the fifth (5th) grade or its equivalent through the eighth (8th) grade. 5th and 6th graders are often referred to as "Junior" pathfinders, and 7th and 8th graders are often referred to as "Teen" Pathfinders. The Teen Leadership Training (TLT) program works closely with the Pathfinder program and is for high school students (grades 9-12). Activities encourage a range from community/civic service projects in their community and across the globe to nature and environmental conservation studies to camping and high adventure trips. Pathfindering challenges the unique talents of each member. Pathfindering is built on an age-specific curriculum of six levels along with approximately 350 specialized skill development topics covering arts and crafts, aquatics, nature, household arts, recreation, spiritual development, health, and vocational training.
