They have had the opportunity to work with couples in many situations. Pastor Ralph and Joni Henderson currently pastor the Kernersville SDA Church in Kernersville, NC. Prior to Kernersville, they pastored in the Asheville, NC area, Florida and California. They have been in pastoral ministry for 23 years. The strength, love and commitment found in their marriage is quickly recognized by those they minister to. Young people have expressed to them “your marriage is the kind of marriage I want our marriage to be...”. The Hendersons recognize all marriages are the work of a lifetime. They seek to love each other and be an example of the way Christ wants our marriages to represent Him. Joni and Ralph have conducted marriage seminar weekends, pre-marital counseling and counseling for couples in crisis. Through their ministry, the Hendersons seek to share the principles of a successful and vibrant Christ-centered marriage. Ministry work began before their pastoral journey. Ralph was called to Florida as a Minister of Music over 30 years ago. After working two years as a Minister of Music, he began “Call to Praise” ministry. During this time, Ralph produced 10 music CDs and the family traveled overseas and across the US for six years, presenting concerts while homeschooling their two children. Ralph’s son and daughter often joined him when presenting concerts. Ralph has written countless songs and his love of playing the guitar and singing has been part of his life for nearly 50 years. Together, Ralph and Joni have also presented lifestyle seminars and cooking schools. They are passionate about health and taking care of the temples God has given us. They strive to live out the principles they teach and enjoy lifting weights together, walking on trails, hiking in the mountains and spending time with their grandchildren. They both find it vital to spiritual, emotional and mental health to sit with Jesus in the early morning hours. Ralph and Joni have a son, (Garrett, 38) and a daughter (Aubrey, 34).
